The church is standing a small village in Havelland (near Berlin, Germany). This church was rebuilt 1753 with financial support of the "von Bredow"-family, because the former church (built 1664) was burned during the Thirty-Years War.
The residents of this village try with lots of love and engagement to conservate the ruinous building, which is often used as venue. They have to fight against active vermins in the wood, against the crumbling plaster and against the office of protection of historical monuments. And very very often they invest their own private money for this project. Wen want to help them by this action collecting money for building- and conservating materials.
The organ, so it is told, was destroyed during the times of the former German Democratic Republic by an alcoholic sexton. He got an axe and destroyed the old organ completely. The damage is approximated 20.000 Euros. It's only the material, not the fee for the work included!
The pictures here are telling the stories. If we don't help this church, so the residents of this village will not be able to keep this old building over long time.
If you want to donate please be aware that 250L$ are nearly 1 US$! Sure... every Cent counts. But to restaurate this building will cost about 800.000 US$!
Thanks a lot for your donation. If you want to donate more, please buy this church as often you want.["]
